How to Download iOS 17 Beta Profile Free. You must hear about it everywhere, the new OS (operating system) of our apple devices will be released this fall. Therefore, as usual, Apple is making beta versions available. You can download and install them on your devices including iPhone.
As of the of the WWDC 2023 keynote, that is to say on June 5, the developer betas of all devices are available. The public beta of macOS Catalina, iOS 17, iPadOS and tvOS 17 are will be made available June 24. Thus, all users can now install them, especially those eager to see the new features.
Prerequisites
To install beta versions of iOS 17 of iPadOS, the process is (very) much the same.
Things to know before installing the beta
First of all, you should know that a beta is not finalized. It potentially has malfunctions that can cause bugs, restarts, freezes, application incompatibility issues or even data loss.
This is why it is advisable to take a backup of your device before upgrading to beta.
Beta users send as much information as possible so that the corrections arrive little by little until a (near) perfect version is reached.
Thus, it is not recommended to install betas on main or production tools.
iOS 17 Beta Supported Devices
You can install the beta profile even on a device that cannot install iOS 17 or iPadOS 17. The beta profile allows you to download the beta version. If your device is not compatible, it will not be able to install the beta version.
To take advantage of the iOS 17 beta you must have at least an iPhone 7/7 Plus or an 8th generation iPod touch.
Regarding the iPads under iPadOS, these will be those from the iPad Air 3.
Step 1: Perform an archived backup
Remember that a beta version is a test. It is strongly recommended to make an archived backup.
A classic backup with iTunes or iCloud will automatically overwrite, replacing the last one, which is why you only have one. An archived save will not be overwritten.
Note: in this explanation, we assume that you have not installed the version of macOS Catalina, thus keeping the current iTunes functionality.
1.1. Connect your iPhone to your computer;
1.2. Open iTunes on your iPhone’s Summary page;
1.3. Select This computer;
1.4. Check Encrypt local backup;
1.5. If needed, set a password;
1.6. Click Backup Now;
1.7. Once backed up, go to iTunes > Preferences > Devices (or Edit > Preferences > Devices on Windows);
1.8. Right-click on the backup of your choice (choosing with the backup date and the name of the device;
1.9. Click Archive.
An archived backup indicates, next to the device name, the date and time of the archive in addition to those of the backup in the other column.
Now that you have made an archived save, you will be able to install the public beta profile. It is deliberately easy to set up so that as many users as possible can benefit from it.
